Welcome to the Blackwater Surf Blog! A partnership of Blackwater Surf & Sickfish Creations! For those of you that are unfamiliar with my work, I am an action photographer who Surfs, backpacks, and spends as much time outdoors as possible. I’m often asked if I take any other types of photos. Alas, I do not. I take photos of Surfers, Skaters, BMXers, etc., because I believe these moments should be captured in time. When I was Surfing and Skating as a younger man there were no professional photographers around, and sadly, I only have one picture of me grinding my tri-fin thruster into the shore on a 6″ Tidalwave.
In total disclosure, I do periodically sell high quality prints, t-shirts, hoodies, bracelets, etc., and would eventually like for this site to create a viable form of passive income. And if you know me, you know that any money that I make is reinvested into camera equipment, etc.
In regard to this Blog, I have created it for you, the audience. I’d like to have a place to communicate with you directly. Whether it be for coordination of an event, advice, or just chatter, please feel free to post. I just ask that we keep in mind that kids are reading, so let’s watch the language and any discussion about drugs or anything else adult themed.
